I'm sorry but this looks horrible. Is this what literature has come to? Re-telling tired cliches, and trying to make them interesting by infusing cheap sexuality?
Philosopher's Mess: Everyone has a right to read or purchase what they like. This is an author I enjoy and a book I'm looking forward to reading. Thanks!
I want to put Carlos on a plate and eat him with a spoon. Please don't tell my husband.
I haven't read any of them YET, while i may not be able to have them in my classroom, I know some high school students that would enjoy them. And hopefully I can find time to read them soon.
Cari, I wasn't trying to insult you or anything. I just don't get the impulse towards this sort of "pulp", "pop", fiction which I see here on the blog a lot. I just don't know how a book lover can get so into it. It is like a music lover thinking Justin Beiber is like the greatest thing ever, while completely ignoring Mozart or Robert Hunter. I just don't get it.
I haven't read any of these books, but they sound interesting!
Sometimes you're in the mood for fluff. I don't expect complexity out of this series, but I still enjoy it. You can recognize the genius that is Mozart and still listen to One Less Lonely Girl every now and then. Same goes for literature.
Good point Amanda, and to be honest I haven't read this author yet so maybe I am jumping the gun. That being said there has got to be fluff that is better than other fluff though right?
Absolutely. In my experience, Simone's a pro at fluff, and she's among my favorites when I'm in the mood for this sort of thing.
At the end of the day this is my blog and I won't tolerate rudeness. I don't have to justify my book/genre choices. If you don't find that my blog is helpful then don't visit.

I personally LOVE Simone Elkeles and am absolutely ecstatic for this new book to come out!! I hope it's as awesome as the other ones. Did you read her Paradise series (Leaving Paradise and Return To Paradise)? They're super good, just like her series about the Fuentes brothers! -Jessica (Peace Love Books)
I squeeled quite a bit when I saw this on facebook today. I am so freaking excited to read the last in the series. Simone is such a great author! I do have to disagree though, Alex is my fave :)
I've looked at these a few times but never picked 'em up. Guess I need to do that now! Yum.
I bought Perfect Chemistry recently. Need to find time to read it. Thanks for the post.
The first two books were really good, I can't wait to get Chain Reaction!
How exciting! I can't wait for Chain Reaction!!
I actually haven't come across this series before, but those covers are definitely hot. I might have to look into these books a bit more... :)Smiles!Lori

I read one of Elkeles' Paradise books, and I recently purchased Perfect Chemistry. I want to read all of her serial books.
